Since 1998, I've been dedicated to teaching Pilates full-time, initially discovering its benefits through cross-training for marathons and road cycling while managing scoliosis-related back pain. My career includes roles such as Director of Pilates, where I led a team of 17+ instructors, and since 2018, I’ve owned and operated my own studio, creating a supportive environment for clients. As a comprehensively trained, NPCP-certified instructor and second-generation teacher, I also train future instructors with Peak Pilates. Pilates Mat (Contrology)The mat is the foundation of Pilates, originally called Contrology by Joseph Pilates. It emphasizes control, precision, breath, and flow to build deep core strength, flexibility, and body awareness. In some classes, I incorporate the Power Circle to add feedback and deepen the work.

The fitball is used for various exercises to enhance core strength, stability, and balance. It's commonly employed in fitness routines, including Pilates, to engage different muscle groups and improve overall body coordination.

Pilates chairs are versatile pieces of equipment designed for resistance based exercises. They target various muscle groups, particularly the core, legs and arms. The chair's adjustable springs provide resistance, challenging users to engage and strengthen specific muscles, improve flexibility, and enhance overall body control and balance. Sara fell in love with Pilates over 25 years ago and became a certified teacher trainer after experiencing the benefits herself. She has experience working with clients of all ages and abilities, with severe conditions, professional athletes, and has been featured in fitness publications including Shape magazine and Pilates Style. In addition to owning a Pilates studio, Sara also owns a boutique that sells athliesure wear and home items. She lives in Cherry Hills Village with her husband, three kids, and dog.
